I read all of the negative comments on this shoe. They all related to sizing. Since my feet are difficult to fit, did not know what size to get. Called the company directly to ask what was wrong. I was told the wrong "last" was used when making this lot--that is why they were on closeout. Customer service actually went out to wearhouse to measure the shoe in inches, to find something to fit. I normally wear size 61/2-7. I was told size 9 would fit. I actually purchased this year's lot in size 7 to compare the two. The close-out shoes in size 9 felt better than the true size 7 of this year's lot. So the more expensive ones are being returned. I tried them when I went kayaking. So comfortable! I love them!

I bought these shoes for kayaking after I lost a previous pair (different brand) on a river trip last year. I wear a size 8 so ordered a size up as suggested on the NRS site. However, the 9 was still too small so I had to send them back and exchange for a 10. I was disappointed since I wanted them for a long weekend kayaking trip and there wasn't time to get them before I left, so as a result I haven't worn them kayaking yet. I think they're big enough to wear neoprene socks when I need them, although they're really tight at the top. I have a high instep so that might have something to do with it.

    Service and delivery comments:

Kudos to Loretta in customer service, who actually went to wearhouse to measure the shoes. She suggested I get the 2 pair, try them, and return one pair. She went out of her way to help me. They arrived in time for kayaking and I will also use them to keep sand off feet at the beach. The close-out pair that she personally measured fit better than than the new lot. Loretta should be recognized for her superior customer service. Thanks, Loretta for a job well done. NRS is the best! Thank you for your help.

I wear a women's 8 or 8.5 shoe. What size should I take in this NRS Women's Kicker Remix Shoe. I see the equivalent styles run very small.

I wear a 8.5 or 39 in most shoes. For this I wear a size 10. I use a wool sock in these (which stay warm even when wet). My neoprene socks were too thick to fit at all.

They run very small. Go up at least one size, if not another. I wear a 7
                1/2 with a normal shoe but I have a 9 in these.

I usually wear a woman's 8 in street shoes, and most of the time an 8 1/2 in hiking and tennis shoes. I tried a 9 in this shoe but it was too small and ended up getting a size 10. I can wear neoprene socks under them but that makes for a pretty snug fit. I don't think I'd want anything larger though. Also, I have a high instep and these are not easy for me to get on, but once they're on they feel fine.

I usually wear a size 8 and read that this shoe runs small so I ordered a
                9. The 9 still fits snug and is hard to get on. I'm thinking about
                ordering a 9-1/2 or a 10. Otherwise, I like the shoe overall.

I wear size 8 in dress shoes and size 8.5 in running and hiking shoes. I bought the size 9 Women's Kicker Remix; my toes touch the end of the shoe, so I have to make sure my toenails are cut. Also, they are a bit tight around the ankles. They definitely run a full size small.

Yes, Sharon, it is. What is different is that for 2015 we developed our own lasts (the forms the shoes are made on) for most of the shoe models, in order to get consistent sizing. For example, this closeout model of the Remix is running one size small. Other than the sizing, this year's and last's are the same.

Barb, for SUP boarding you want a shoe with good traction that fits snug to stay on your foot. The Remix certainly fits those criteria.
