      Hi,
Unfortunately, the bottom is not padded. However, the bag work just fine by
wrapping all the blades on the handles with bubble bag.
      Hope this help.

      A:

No its not.  Has a netting on the bottom so the water can escape.   We love our bag we take our raft out about 3 to 5 times a year.  Keeps paddles together.

It's not padded; the blue part of the bag is a burly ballistic nylon.

No, not padded. I am sure you could cut a piece of foam and stuff it in the bottom.

Good for a few paddles

By kingsriverguy

from Fresno, CA

Pros

  • Mesh
  • Mesh To See Of Paddles

Cons

  • Bottom Tore Out
  • Handle Tore Off
  • To Short For 6' Guide Pad

Best Uses

  • Holding 5-6 Paddles
  • Light Use

Comments about NRS Large Paddle Bag:

The bottom seam gave out on my first trip with this bag. I had 7 paddles in it and that must been too many. I sewed it back together and it worked well until the fabric around the handle failed a couple trips later. Yes you can probably fit 20 paddles in the bag but dont pick it up by the handle if you do! bag holds my raft paddles but is not long enough for my 6' guide paddle. This bag would be ok with light use and no more than 5-6 paddles.
