NRS H2Core apparel is the first and only layering system designed specifically for paddlers. Perfectly placed seams create friction-free zones where other clothing rubs paddlers wrong. Advanced fabrics wick moisture, dry quickly and protect you from harmful UV rays. Unlike general-purpose outdoor apparel, H2Core's features enhance, not detract from, your time on the water.

Q:Can this be used for layering in cold weather? I would like to use it under a Farmer Jane wetsuit during the transition from fall to winter, but would like to add a layer under or over the rashguard as the weather (and water) turns cooler. Could you please recommend a product that would work well in this case, if possible? The activity usage is for paddleboarding and for kayaking. Thank you for any input you can provide! :-)Asked on 10/14/2014 by Paddling Enthusiast from North Carolina
A:Although I haven't tried what you describe, the rashguard would work well under the other layer, i.e. you could add a layer over the rashguard. It's nice and light.Answered on 10/16/2014 by Anonymous
A:The short answer is, yes, the H2Core Rashguard is a great layering piece. How it works for you depends on how you will be using it. Fabric layering pieces are most efficient when kept dry. Consider topping the Rashguard / Farmer John combo with something like the HydroSkin 1.5 Jacket, Item # 15039.01. If you go for a swim this will give you much more body core protection from the cold water. A:It probably depends on your definition of cold... I layered mine under the 1.5 hydro skin jacket and was toasty warm out on the waters in 45-50 degree air temps and 15-20mph winds. I would think that it would work well under a farmer jane as well, but can't comment specifically on that. Hope that helps! Happy paddling!!

A:I think you would be best served by putting something over the rash guard. Mine fits snugly and you would risk creating friction if you wear something underneath. Paddle on!

A:I am using this top for paddle boarding. I have a neoprene vest that helps keep my core warm. Sometimes I use a fleece jacket.
Hope that helps!Answered on 10/14/2014 by Anonymous

Q:Can you wear this swimming in the ocean for surfing and snorkeling?Asked on 6/25/2014 by Kelly from Baltimore, MD
A:I'd say definitely yes to the surfing--I wear mine for paddle boarding and love it. The material holds it's shape better than other T-shirt weight rash guards I've tried, so I'd suspect that it'd work well for snorkeling as well (without adding a lot of extra drag), but can't speak from experience on this in particular. Finding a good fit is key though, to ensure good movement without chafing or adding drag.

Comments about NRS Women's H2Core Rashguard Long-Sleeve Shirt:
Picked up the pink on sale at a local retailer. Use it for SUP and absolutely LOVE it--had to buy a second in black, in fact! Fit was great, including sleeve and torso length--hard finds for a tall gal. Even better, the neck doesn't "strangle" like a lot of similar rashguards, even with paddling. Definitively recommended!
For reference--I'm 6' and 155lbs, and a size L fit perfectly.
