  • Laminated straight-grained Douglas fir forms the blade's lightweight core.

  • An epoxy-metal mesh spline embedded in the tip increases impact resistance.
  • Sawyer soaks the blade in sealer, then adds two thick coats of the finest marine-grade spar varnish for long-lasting protection.

This blade is listed as being compatible with 1 5/8 diameter cataract & Carlisle shafts. The Cataract and Carlisle shafts you sell are 1 7/8. Does Cataract make a 1 5/8 shaft?

That's 1 5/8" inside diameter shafts, Chip. The shank on the blade fits inside 1 7/8" outside diameter Carlisle, Cataract and Sawyer shafts.
