        Comments about Carlisle Standard Paddle:

The good old standard, not bad but for the price difference I will stick with the upgraded version (Guide?) for a few buck more as it has a much stiffer blade that appears much more durable.

The Best Paddle for the Money

            Comments about Carlisle Standard Paddle:

Still the best price point paddle for the money. I just bought an Aire Super Duper Puma and used these paddles for the maiden voyages down the Green and Colorado rivers. All abord were happy and liked them better than some other, more expensive paddles I brought along.

Does anyone know what the industry standard paddle size is for rafting companies? 60" for guest paddles?

                A:

60' is the standard custom length from the two raft companies I've worked for. A lot of guides used 60' but 66' for guides was also common.

I worked for A company on the Salmon in Idaho and we used 57" Carlisle standard paddles for guests. I also own the same paddles for my personal raft.
