    Q:

Any way to attach a small portable electric trolling motor to this boat. With my regular canoe I can attach a little wood outrigger to the gunnels that work great.

      A:

We don't stock anything like that. However, we build our frames here in Moscow and can custom fabricate a motor mount that you could strap to the Super Lynx, through drain holes, or to the interior cargo loops. Give us a call, 800.635.5202, to discuss options.

Comments about AIRE Super Lynx Kayak:

This is a follow up review to my two previous reviews....
Two days ago my family (wife, two daughters ages 2.5 and 5, and myself) ran a 9.5 mile section of the Deschutes river south of Bend, OR. The river section we did was class I.
To be blunt the Aire Super Lynx performed amazingly well. The boat had plenty of space for the four of us. When my two daughters wanted to move around they could stand up and walk on the port/starboard tubes without difficulty. The seats had great storage space for small dry bags, Nalgene bottles, snacks (keep the kids happy!), and safety gear. Most of the time my daughters spent their time on the bow or stern as the "V" made a nice lounge chair for them. I exited the boat numerous times in the water and found it was very stable when climbing back aboard. I also paddled the boat like a SUP and it felt very stable.
    My wife's comments: 1-Stable, 2-Comfortable, 3-Easy to paddle.
The boat tracked relatively well, and was fairly easy to ferry. It was easy for one/both of us to move the boat to avoid obstacles/logs.
I also drove from BC to OR with camping gear, the Super Lynx, and mountain bike gear, kids stuff, tents, clothes, coolers in the back of my Toyota Highlander. The boat is compact and easy to transport.
When transporting the boat after use, make sure you drain the boat once out of the water and put a tarp under the boat if you put it in your vehicle as it will drain quite a bit of water when transported rolled up!
    My Gripes:
1-Pump. Aire should include a pump as you are paying 1600 bucks for the boat. Cheap of them in my opinion!
2-Storage. Aire should include a transport bag for the boat as well. Again, I think it's cheap of them not to include it after you pay 1600 bucks for the boat.
(Dear Aire, I would have given the boat 5 stars if you had included a pump and a storage bag!!! Not having those two items included after spending over 1600 bucks hacks me off!)
As previously stated in another review get the NRS Wonder Pump 6 and you will be able to rig the boat in about 10 minutes. I also purchased the K-Pump pressure gauge and it works great for checking your tube pressures.
Bottom line: A great family boat for having fun on rivers or lakes. Works well for families with small kids!
In the future I will take the boat into some class III whitewater and post a review afterwards...

Comments about AIRE Super Lynx Kayak:

Took our Super Lynx out today for the first time on a lake. My wife and kids (2 and 5) fit in the boat comfortably. The boat paddles well, tracks relatively well, and is very easy to set up. Seats are comfortable. The boat doesn't track as well as a hard shell, but it's easy to compensate for if you have decent paddling technique.
I did use the skeg, and it went on/off easily. We had a few wind gusts that required minor correcting, but overall it wasn't a big issue.
The stability of the boat is amazing, and my kids walked around with no problem. Overall we are very happy with the Super Lynx purchase!

Comments about AIRE Super Lynx Kayak:

This is my initial impression review-more to follow once I get it on the water! This boat isn't reviewed much on the web so I'm trying to help my fellow paddlers!
I am an avid class IV hard shell kayaker. I have a wife and two girls ages 2.5 and 5 I want to take out on lakes and easy river trips. I'm not a huge canoe fan, and I wanted something that was versatile and compact. I took a risk on the Aire Super Lynx (no demo) and so far I'm impressed.
Picked the boat up and was impressed with how durable it appears/feels. I inflated the boat to the recommended 2.5 psi in under 10 minutes with the NRS Wonder Pump 6 (adapters included) and pressure guage. The boat appears to be high quality and well built. The seats are comfortable and easy to install. The boat comes with a comprehensive repair kit, tools, info DVD, and printed instructions. AIRE even included the factory checklist to show what is supposed to be in the box once the boat was shipped.
After inflation I put my 35 lb daughter in the middle of the boat and my wife and I lifted it up. The boat did not bend in the middle. The floor pressure relief valve works as advertised. The construction is burly. My family (4 of us) fit in the boat comfortably.
I contacted AIRE with questions about the boat prior to purchase and have been impressed with their quick and friendly responses.
This boat rolls up small for it's size, and the overall quality is impressive. This isn't a cheap inflatable and the quality shows! The 10 year warranty is amazing. I will write more once I get it on the water!

Comments about AIRE Super Lynx Kayak:

If you can only choose one boat to do a lot of things, it is a great choice! We have used it for self-supported flat river trips (10 day). For gear trips it is best for only one person + gear as we found we could not fit two of us and all the gear (we are both over 6 feet tall). For day trips it is great for two and I have taken it out on the bay solo and I did not find the tracking with the skeg to be too bad but it is certainly no hard shell. It is a compromise and it behaves exactly that way, but again, if you can only get one for many uses it rocks! The only issue we have had was under high winds and currents one side of the hull kept trying to suck under so we rafted with another boat. This might be common in inflatable IKs but I don't know as we only have full size rafts and hard shells to compare with.

Comments about AIRE Super Lynx Kayak:

This is a great boat. Super stable and cruses through ocean swells with no problem. It doesn't cut through the water like a hard shell, but you can't beat the storage. This boat takes a lot of abuse from sticks, stumps, rocks, and it haven't had a problem. The skeg isn't the greatest, I don't think it helped much and it fell off somewhere. The wind hits this boat like a sail, but still overall a great kayak.
