A favorite among our customers for all of their river trips. Handheld design allows you to move around the raft to reach the interior valves. 12-volt motor is fast and powerful: 1.75 PSI in 5 minutes per raft. The temperature-sensitive relief valve protects against overheating. 4 nozzles, 10' battery-clamp cord.

Never operate LVM with vehicle motor running - it can overheat the pump due to a higher volt output.

Using this pump continuously for more than 10 minutes can cause it to overheat. Please allow cool down time between boats.

    Q:

How will this pump do inflating the 12' tributary self bailing raft?

I use this pump to pretty quickly inflate my 12' Avon bucket boat and 12' Hyside Padillac II and it works very well. If I use it continually for both boats, the pump does get a little warm but my boat is trailered and I generally only inflate the ducky at the put-in with no problems.

It’ll do great, I use it on a 15’ Zodiac with no problems, just be careful not to lose the adaptors.

It'll work fine for that boat, Mike. 5+ minutes and you'll have most of the air in. You'll still need a hand pump to top it off to full pressure, and to take along with you.

I have dismantled these LVM Pumps before. There is a screw at the center of the housing, easily accessible, that holds the intake/exhaust assembly in place. Loosen it and take it apart to repair or inspect the internal airway. I have re-soldered the electrical leads on occasion, when the unit got too hot and loosened the wiring.

Yes, you can open it up for a look-see. If you run into a problem, give us a call, 800.635.5202. We can repair some parts of the pump.

Yes, you can open it, unfortunately when mine did that the shaft from the motor was no longer driving the "fan" and I couldn't fix that. Good luck.

      Sure.
The LVM pump is 5 1/2 inched high and only 2 inches in diameter at the
motor end and about 4 inched in diameter on the impeller end. I love this
      pump!

I use this product for inflating both of my two rafts, and the air-bags in my two white-water canoes. I lost my first LVM Inflator on a trip to a white-water river in Utah. I borrowed several different inflaters on different river trips -- none came even close to the LVM in preformance. I purchased a 2nd, and couldn't do without it!!

LVM Pump

Compared to the old NRS pumps, the new ones are much more needy and fragile. The first one I had burned up after inflating 2 rafts!

I use this pump to inflate my raft and this pump is very good at that. However The pump is not durable.
my First one inflated only 1.5 boats ( seperate days) before it started smoking ( I know not to have the truck running while inflating) sent it back for warranty and NRS was awesome and replaced it / fixed it right away. Tested it to make sure it worked and put it away for season. went to inflate my boat this spring and it only pumped air for 30 seconds then quit. will not work at all. If you get a pump that works it is a good pump but quality doesnt seem to be reliable.

Worth every penny. I have a solar panel on my raft (mounted on cooler), therefore I always have 12V and if you know how to use this correctly it will last for years and years, love mine.

As a private boater, I only blew up a few boats a couple times a season. The pump lasted less than 3 seasons. The plus side, when it worked it worked great.
