A favorite among our customers for all of their river trips. Handheld design allows you to move around the raft to reach the interior valves. 12-volt motor is fast and powerful: 1.75 PSI in 5 minutes per raft. The temperature-sensitive relief valve protects against overheating. 4 nozzles, 10' battery-clamp cord.

Never operate LVM with vehicle motor running - it can overheat the pump due to a higher volt output.

Using this pump continuously for more than 10 minutes can cause it to overheat. Please allow cool down time between boats.

I use this product for inflating both of my two rafts, and the air-bags in my two white-water canoes. I lost my first LVM Inflator on a trip to a white-water river in Utah. I borrowed several different inflaters on different river trips -- none came even close to the LVM in preformance. I purchased a 2nd, and couldn't do without it!!

LVM Pump

Compared to the old NRS pumps, the new ones are much more needy and fragile. The first one I had burned up after inflating 2 rafts!

        Comments about LVM Inflator Pump:

First time use proved this pump to be a great time and labor saving device. The motor did not overheat with extended use but the pump section got very hot. It is a screamer, wished I had brought some ear plugs for the close work. The adapters fit the various valves we had. The power cord could be longer. You may have to make up your own extension cord.

As a group we have been through 5-6 of these pumps. They simply do not last and while NRS has been quick to replace, the quality is just not there. I iwll be using other options from now on...as will everyone else in my group who have had a bad experience with these....

        stay away!

It'll work fine for that boat, Mike. 5+ minutes and you'll have most of the air in. You'll still need a hand pump to top it off to full pressure, and to take along with you.

I use this pump to pretty quickly inflate my 12' Avon bucket boat and 12' Hyside Padillac II and it works very well. If I use it continually for both boats, the pump does get a little warm but my boat is trailered and I generally only inflate the ducky at the put-in with no problems.

I have dismantled these LVM Pumps before. There is a screw at the center of the housing, easily accessible, that holds the intake/exhaust assembly in place. Loosen it and take it apart to repair or inspect the internal airway. I have re-soldered the electrical leads on occasion, when the unit got too hot and loosened the wiring.

The LVM pump is 5 1/2 inched high and only 2 inches in diameter at the
