    Q:

Can this suit be used in a swimming pool?
Asked on 9/25/2013 by Richard from Clearlake, Calif.

      A:

Yes, Richard, you can use it in a swimming pool. Swimming pools have high chlorine levels in the water. To protect your investment and get the maximum life out of the suit you'll need to do regular preventive maintenance. Coat the latex gaskets with McNett Seal Saver, Item # 33505.01. Rinse the suit with fresh water after each pool session. To get excess air out of the suit, immerse yourself in the water, then pull the neck gasket away from your skin; the suit will then conform to your body and make swimming easier. You might want to consider a wetsuit instead. They are less expensive, form fitting and will make it easier to swim. Rinsing them after pool exposure is also very important.
