Commonly heard complaints from boaters are "My wetshoes dry slowly" and "My shoes really stink." The problems are related. Neoprene shoes don't "breathe" so moisture escapes slowly unless you work to eliminate it. And bacteria and other microorganisms in the water and from your feet can generate odors in those moist conditions. This video shows how to clean and dry watershoes to head off odor. And if stinky shoes happen, we show how to eliminate it.

    Q:

What size to order if I wear 6 1/2 shoe size.

Hi - I wear a 7 or 7 1/2 in regular shoes and I ordered a 9 in these water shoes. They fit perfectly. You want them to fit fairly snug so they do not slip off in the water so I would probably order an 8 if I were you. These are terrific shoes - I've used them for kayaking, snorkeling and all around boating. I've had them about 1 1/2 years and they are still like brand new. Hope this helps you!

Since there are not any half sizes, you will have to order a size 7, but don't worry about the shoes being too small cause the sizes are smaller. I had to go one size larger than what I normally wear.

Sizing. My wife usually wears a womens 9. At our local store the only option was to try on a mens, and mens size 9 fit her. What size in this womens would she need? Seems from what we've read, she should order a womens 11, but hate to order wrong size

My wife's feet are skinny. Size 10 womens in this model fit her well -- she
is a womens 9, and a mens 8 or 8.5, but they are always uncomfortably wide
-- and these are now her default canoeing shoe, after a long search! She
hated the dinky sole protection on many of those she tried. And cheap ones
invariably were of shoddy workmanship as well. These are very satisfactory,
slightly tight around the ankles, so they might be hard to get on and off
initially. They are wide, but not overly so inside the shoe. They also

Are these shoes good to use sailing. I need a wet shoe that will not leave black marks on the boat and that will provide good traction.

I used these shoes while on an 18 days backcountry canoe trip through
Canada and a 14 day backcountry sea kayaking trip in Baja California. I
found that on wet rocks or wet moss they did not provide very good traction
but when I used them on docks or while portaging the traction was great. I
think if you were just using them on a boat they would work fine and would
      not leave any marks.

I bought these shoes for paddling and getting in and out of the kayak on islands in Maine. I wanted a shoe with good traction and wouldn't allow detritus to be a bother when on beaches with sand and pebbles. These shoes are perfect for this! They keep my always-cold-feet warm, snug enough so nothing gets into the shoe and have great traction.

They do run small. I wear a size 9, bought the 10 as recommended by others and had to go up to a size 11!

They also have an annoying seam at the heel which caused blisters after a short hike on an island. Wearing thin socks inside the shoes fixes this.

Overall - these are a pretty good shoe!

I love wearing these esp at low tide when there are lots of rocks and shells to walk on. Super protection for my feet. Great traction on the paddleboard and comfortable and well made. Sizing is way off . I wear an 8.5 shoe and the 10 fits great.

Comments about NRS Women's Kicker Remix Wetshoe - Closeout:

My size of walking shoes is a size 6 and my summer water shoes are a size 6. I ordered 1 size larger for winter kayaking because of all the added socks under the dry suit; however, the size 7 I received is smaller than the size 6. I figured I was playing it safe going one full size larger but can't even put them on with one pair of socks. I now have to keep them or spend money to send them back and still need to buy another pair.

I heeded the prior reviews and ordered one size up. They fit well and are surprisingly comfortable. Used for kayaking, they keep my feet warm. When entering or exiting the kayak, I don't have to worry about losing a shoe in the mucky lake shore. To remove shoes, have to break the suction first by pulling the side away from my ankle. Traction is great. Love these shoes.
