I occasionally put them in the washing machine. They get plenty wet canoeing, so it doesn't hurt them any! I air dry them.

I toss them in with the rest of my laundry. They have been washed dozens of
      times and have done fine.

Rosie, usually just rinsing them in fresh water is sufficient. If they're soiled, hand wash in soapy water, rinse well and air dry.

      A:

We simply put them in a laundry bag, and wash in the washing machine. Then,
      I hang them to dry.

They stretch out with use so when in doubt go w/ the smaller size. Source:

      Abe, go with the Large.

      A:

I would go with large, I'm just under those measurements by a 1/4" or so
and use medium but I'm right at the end of the non-stretch fabrics.
The large should fit fine due to the elastic back without being too loose
      in my opinion.

These gloves are great for whitewater and marathon canoeing and canoe racing. I initially got them for sun protection, but now also appreciate the absence of blisters. They fit snugly and do not get in the way at all. I find them to be more comfortable then paddling with bare hands. Their one downside is that after a couple of seasons, they wear out.

The imitation leather at the heel of the hand disintegrates into shreds. The remainder of the glove is still in good condition, but the gloves become unusable because the wrist strap no longer has a load path the the palm of the glove, and the glove moves out of position. I have a sliding-seat rowboat 23 feet long. My usual week-end afternoon row averages 9 miles, longer when conditions permit.

Used these all spring/summer for nearly daily paddling. Have worn very well and still very serviceable. Will continue as backups for my new pair, since on sale at a great price. Have the fingerless version which I like also, though in next largest size to take off a little easier.

Well made and comfortable. Fit is snug, as it should be. Only used them twice so far for rowing an Adirondack guideboat so I can't comment on durability. Have to remember to close velcro when not in use or it gets stuck to terry thumb. Well satisfied.
