Comments about Camp Cooking WITHOUT Coolers II Book:

I'm planning the menu and gathering the food for a 25 day Grand Canyon trip for 16 people that will be done in wooden dories. We won't have coolers and our space for food and gear is limited. This little gem of a book has a lot of good ideas for recipes and portion sizes.

      Service and delivery comments:

great. you cant help an item being backordered.

Comments about Camp Cooking WITHOUT Coolers II Book:

I've been looking for a river oriented cookbook as an alternative to oatmeal and cup-a-noodles when I want to raft without a cooler. This is the only one I've found and it is great. The recipes are easy to follow and the results are SO tasty! I even cook some of these meals at home. The information on Leave No Trace camping is right on and should be shared with others. I can't wait for volume III to come out!

Comments about Camp Cooking WITHOUT Coolers II Book:

I had the privilege of going on a no-cooler trip on the Rogue with the author. Lacey did all the meal planning and shopping. The food was very tasty, nutritious, filling, and imaginative. And best of all, our little sport cats handled like a dream without all that weight!! Even if you don't go no-cooler, this book is definitely worth having for it's imaginative recipes. Those who complain about the prep time are probably not "foodies". If you cook with love, the flavor comes through!!

          No coolers, but not easier

Comments about Camp Cooking WITHOUT Coolers II Book:

This book has a lot of great recipes, but there is a lot of prep work involved. I'll probably use it for self-support kayak trips, but am still looking for a no-cooler and minimal prep menu.
