SleepRite Cot by TravelChair (0:56)

The TravelChair SleepRite Cot offers a wider, longer, and more supportive sleeping platform than lesser cots. Perfect for family camping where size, weight and pack ability are essential. The SleepRite Cot has an ease of set-up that is a breeze with only 10 parts and pieces that are all shock corded together, 20 parts and pieces fewer than the competition. Ergonomically positioned supports set the stage for a larger sleeping surface for smaller and larger people alike. Another advantage of the SleepRite Cot is it does not bottom out on the ground when a load is applied. Don't forget about the deluxe, zippered, carrying pouch. Built with TravelChair's legendary quality that has been refined over the last 30 years, this camping cot is built to last. So instead of sacrificing quality of sleep for a few ounces, keep your pack light and your night's sleep comfortable.

    Q:

what is the proper way to repack the cot into the zipper bag ? Is there a video how to refold the supports ?

      A:

Bo, the only video TravelChair has so far for the cot is the one that's there on the product page. To repack the cot simply fold the cover, place in the bag, then lay the leg pieces on top and zip the bag shut.

    Comments about TravelChair Sleeprite Cot:

This is VERY well built, VERY well designed, and VERY comfortable. Nothing to ask from the product. This is however somewhat bulky, and somewhat heavy...so limited to vehicle camping unless you are willing to the size/weight.

I'm 6'2", 280lbs, and this is THE most comfortable camping bed ever. Don't think twice!

      Comments about TravelChair Sleeprite Cot:

2nd use went motorcycle camping & was so glad to be off ground in 31F. Careful w/assembly; don't catch fabric. Wish shockcords were removable to save weight. In bag, 6lb 5oz on my lousy scale. Great replacement for other cot (7lb 12oz).

      Great for car camping

      Comments about TravelChair Sleeprite Cot:

Great cot for car camping, rafting, or maybe if you ride a large "GS" type motorcycle. Not what you want for backpacking or dual-sport motorcycles (same size/weight as my tent!). Much, much easier to assemble and sturdier than my LuxuryLite cot but it also heavier and bulkier (trade off..). Well built, wouldn't be afraid to loan it to a 300lb buddy. Sleeps very comfortable but as with all cots, once temps drop into the 40s you will need an insulated pad on top of it. All in all, sleeps as good as any traditional cot and packs smaller/more compact than they do.

      Comments about TravelChair Sleeprite Cot:

I purchased this from NRS a couple of weeks ago and finally got around to being able to set it up. I have not had it out camping and have only "tested" it indoors so these comments are made from that experience.
The cot itself is easy to set up and take down. It appears to be comfortable at first try. The problem is that this cot is incredibly noisy once you get it set up and lay on it. Any movements and it squeaks, and it squeaks loud. It's loud enough to probably wake up a camping partner. My other issue is straight out of the bag one of the support rods is bent a little. It's not enough to cause functional issues but it makes me wonder whether or not this cot will stand up over the years. Overall I wish that I would not have made the purchase and been able to test one out in person before buying over the web.
I'm going to say NO to recommendations for this particular product because I think there is a better product out there in the same range.
