video: Werner Neutral Bent Shaft

Werner Neutral Bent Shaft (2:23)

Our Neutral Bent Shaft is designed to alleviate stress and strain on your hands, wrist and forearms when you paddle. This strain is usually caused by a previous injury, over gripping the paddle shaft and can be acute for those who paddle in rough water conditions where five fingers of contact to the shaft must be maintained. The key benefits that are unique to our Neutral Bent Shaft are; natural alignment of the wrist reducing strain and fatigue, stable leverage point during ALL stokes which increases comfort and an advanced grip that fits the natural contour of your hand. The slightly heavier shaft weight, when compared to a straight shaft, is offset by the ergonomic benefits.

Comments about Werner Ikelos Carbon Paddle - Bent:

This is one fabulous paddle, the bent shaft will take a while to get used to however the benefits are clear. less fatigue and a smother stroke.
my ONLY complaint is the adhesive used on a sticker placed on the paddle. I would have thought with such a high-end paddle they would have used an adhesive sticker that could be removed cleanly without the use of solvents.
other than that this paddle has surpassed my expectations.

Comments about Werner Ikelos Carbon Paddle - Bent:

Recently began paddling my surf ski after a two year layoff. My technique was way off with the wing paddle I was using. I traded my wing paddle with my son for his Ikelos and what a difference. I was able to concentrate on paddling without thinking about the paddle. A comfort level came about with the Ikelos that I was unable to attain at this time with the wing. A week later I took delivery of my own Ikelos from NRS. Money well spent.
