  • Igloo Marine Ultra 162 Quart Cooler

    Q:

Is there anyway you could send some pictures of the latches and hinges? There is not much detail on the web. My relatives own a bakery and use Igloos (very large Igloos) for storage when their fridges are filled. All of them had broken latches and a few had broken hinges. Not questioning NRS products and I don't really know what models they had, but it would be great to see some photos with more detail.

    Q:

Where is the drain located? Are the latches substantial. Most Igloos I have seen have the latches removed or are falling apart.

      A:

The drain is low on the end of the cooler, so it readily drains melt water. The latches on these models have stainless steel hinges for maximum durability. The coolers are quite a bit improved over earlier models.

    Q:

any chance you could tell me if it'll fit in my aire 156R with a bigfoot II frame? I don't cotton to the idea of a tight fit> but my boats deflated currently.

    thanks,

Jon, AIRE's wireframe drawing of the 156R shows an internal width of 42". The width of the cooler is 44".

    Q:

Will this fit in an E-140?

      A:

It will be a very snug fit and may rub against the tubes. If I were using it in that boat I'd add some wear patch material on the inside of the tubes.
