Used on Jan. 3rd...didn't need gloves in 50 degree weather. Included "drip stops" work VERY well!

Comments about Carlisle Magic Plus Paddle:

I own a couple of Aire Tomcats, and I just bought a 2nd paddle here. The regular price is usually about $110. I got mine for 20% off (a great deal). This paddle works great. It's lightweight fiberglass, it's very comfortable holding it in your hands all day, and the blades move a lot of water. You can pay more for a good paddle (up to $400), but for about $100, you can't beat this value. If you're an inflatable kayaker, then this paddle should work well for you.

Comments about Carlisle Magic Plus Paddle:

I snapped the paddle in half and Carlisle replaced it. The first class-IV rapids out of five and it snapped in half again. Duct tape and branches to splint the halves together and I completed the trip. I wiegh ~230 lbs so my size, weight and loading are probably just too much for this otherwise fine paddle.

Comments about Carlisle Magic Plus Paddle:

Great value for a paddle that is comfortable and well made. The fiberglass shaft is much more durable than the cheaper aluminum shaft version. Well worth the extra $
