I bought this rashguard for my first surf trip in warm waters. It looks cute with the flower print on the side, fits great, and is very comfortable. It prevented any chafing I might have had and kept the sun off my shoulders. I also love the color and the fact that there aren't any large obnoxious logos.

okay, so NRS has now sent me 2 emails asking me to review this product. At first, I was politely declining but now it seems like they really want to know - "how is this rash guard".

Well, I was really excited at first because it was on sale and it was short sleeved and looked cool from the photo. I liked the colors and color blocking style. I find it hard to find women's rash guards that don't have some sort of cheesy floral design so I thought this could be the "one".

It came in a timely manner, great. I rip open the package and throw it on - fits great. Then I see it… it has red flowers over the red part of the rash guard so they kind of blend in but they are printed on so they are a little shiny or something. Ugh - didn't take note of that when I originally saw the picture. So I'm kinda like - whatever, its a good quality rash guard for pretty cheap.

So far I've worn it twice and already there is pilling where my lady chest parts (they made me remove a word due to profanity - you get the picture) rub against my PFD and it shed bits of red fabric on my arms. I was super disappointed. I love NRS. NRS - can you please make us ladies some rash guards without the cheesy flowers and with quality fabric that won't pill, please?

Love the shirt The only problem was the way it was packaged it was stuffed in there so tight and you had to use scissors to get it open and I accidentally cut the shirt when opening it. : ( It was my own fault however might consider packaging it a little easier to make for easier opening Otherwise I love the product

The hydrosilk is generally my first layer with the exception of a sports bra. I haven't had any issues with chafing with this as my first layer, even on long paddles where I am on the water for most of the day.

We have not had any problem with staining. While SCUBA diving or
snorkeling and in contact with the bottom, fine silt will get trapped in
the fabric, but it does wash out.

                Hi there,
I've used my shirt as a rash guard for snorkeling, so while I can say it's performed well in salt water, it has not been exposed to mud. I soak and handwash all of my swimwear in mild soap ASAP (and/or rinse under a shower) after I'm done, which I assume would help dilute and loosen grime in any case.

I personally have not been in muddy water with this shirt, however I have been in muddy water with a white cotton shirt--- bad idea!!! Cotton tends to stain very easily. I would think this HydroSilk fabric to be more stain resistant than most fabrics, and if you rinse in clean water at the end of the day it would help get the mud out in any case! Hope this helps some, anyway

I'm not 100% sure as I have not been in very silty muddy water with it. I
have a grass stain on mine that I can't get out in the normal wash. Also I
may not be the best judge as I don't really know how muddy water treats
kayak gear. I would imagine that repeated use in dirty water without
washing the same day may stain it. Sorry I can't be of more help.
