    Comments about Eddy Out Aluminum Dry Box 38L x 16H x 13D:

I just had a scary, eye opening experience on Blossom Bar on the Rogue River. I missed the move and ended up on the Picket Fence. My boat was half way submerged for over an hour. With the help of friends, old and new, my boat was successfully flipped off the rocks and ferried to river left. Thanks to good rigging I did not lose anything and I was so relieved to find of our food still dry inside the dry box. I had the understanding this box was more water resistant when submerged but it was totally dry inside. Saved the trip. Awesome box.

How much extra would it cost to add tabs to a dry box?

Dwayne, extra price for set of tabs is $31. For a stock size box, it takes 7-10 days for us to get it. For a custom size box it's 2-3 weeks. Be very precise about placement instructions. Give us a call to order, 800.635.5202.

            A:

Tom, the latches on the box can't be locked and we don't stock anything like that. However, it would be very easy to add your own hasp, either riveted or welded on the box.

            A:

I had some tabs riveted on to mine for setting the box in the frame by a metal shop and have had no problems. I see no reason why you couldn't rivet on a hasp as well. Just tell whoever you have do it that it needs to stay watertight.
